Reaching the Office or Your Provider

Wondering about the best way to reach your physician directly? Schedule an urgent appointment? Get your prescription refilled? We have all the answers. Read on to learn the most effective way to reach us for your needs.

What’s the best way to communicate with the Ms.Medicine/ Lisa Larkin, MD, and Associates office or my provider?

FOR URGENT NEEDS DURING BUSINESS HOURS MONDAY TO FRIDAY (ALL PATIENTS)

The most efficient and preferred way to communicate with the office or your provider for any URGENT medical need or for a same-day appointment is to CALL the office directly. This applies to all patients, both concierge and DPC patients. During business hours, the providers are seeing patients and return calls and check messages only a few times per day which can delay your care. Please CALL the office for all urgent needs.

FOR NON-URGENT NEEDS DURING BUSINESS HOURS MONDAY TO FRIDAY (ALL PATIENTS):

The most efficient and preferred way to communicate with the office or reach your provider for NON-URGENT needs is also to CALL the office. Another excellent option is to use your MyChart and email your provider.

FOR URGENT NEEDS AFTER HOURS (CONCIERGE PATIENTS):

If you are a concierge patient and need to reach your provider AFTER HOURS or WEEKENDS for an URGENT need,  please CALL OR TEXT your provider directly. Please do not use email or MyChart for an urgent need after hours.

FOR URGENT NEEDS AFTER HOURS AND WEEKENDS (DPC PATIENTS):

If you are a DPC patient and need to reach your provider AFTER HOURS OR WEEKENDS for an URGENT need, please CALL the office number and the on-call provider will be called. Please do not use email or MyChart for an urgent need after hours.

USING YOUR PROVIDER’S PERSONAL EMAIL

Please refrain from using the personal emails of the providers at any time for any medical need including prescription refills. The personal emails of the providers are not HIPAA secure and are not linked to your electronic medical record, which makes it difficult for your provider to appropriately and efficiently handle your needs. Your MyChart email is HIPAA secure and is the preferred way to communicate directly with your provider for non-urgent needs. If you are having trouble with setting up your MyChart, our staff is happy to help you.

FOR PRESCRIPTION REFILLS:

If you need prescription refills, the preferred method is to have your pharmacy communicate with the office. Another option is to send a message via MyChart to the office staff with your request. Calling the office is the least efficient way to submit your refill request.
