In the event that you require hospitalization for a medical condition, your physician will facilitate your admission from our office. Your physician will direct you to be admitted to the hospital they feel is best suited to your medical issue, is covered by your insurance plan and is acceptable to you. Please be advised that the physicians in the practice utilize hospitalists (for inpatient care), specialists and consultants at various hospitals. Depending on the specific nature of your acute medical issue, one hospital may be suggested over another.
Please be aware that our internal medicine physicians do not provide direct inpatient care for their patients; however, all work closely with the hospital physicians at Christ, Jewish and University hospitals. Should you require admission, your physician will facilitate your admission by communicating with the inpatient hospital physician and will remain involved in your care by phone.
Dr. Dellinger does provide hospital care for her post-surgical patients and for gynecologic patients requiring inpatient care at both Christ and University Hospitals.
