Dr. Haberthier sees patients at the offices of Lisa Larkin, MD, and Associates on selected Tuesdays.
A gastroenterologist practicing with the Ohio Gastroenterology and Liver Institute, Dr. Haberthier is particularly interested in colorectal cancer screening, hemorrhoid banding and the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome.
She earned her undergraduate degree, with honors, from The Johns Hopkins University and her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-New Jersey Medical School. Following an internal medicine residency at Boston University Medical Center, she completed a gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, serving as chief gastroenterology fellow during her final year.
Dr. Haberthier has participated in a number of clinical research projects, including the investigation of obesity as a risk factor for gastroesophageal reflux disease and the study of cancer development among patients in the National Cancer Institute’s Prostrate, Lung, Colorectal and Ovarian Cancer Screening Trial.
She has presented to physician and community audiences on a variety of gastroenterology topics and is an active member of the American Gastroenterology Association, American College of Gastroenterology, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and American Medical Association.
Dr. Haberthier resides in Columbia-Tusculum with her husband, Eric, and their two dogs.
