Lori Singer White, PhD, is a geneticist with more than 20 years of experience working in the genetics industry.
Throughout her career, Dr. White has served as an educator and trainer for both technical and non-technical professionals in the field of genetics, ensuring their expertise and knowledge in current standards in hereditary cancer and personalized medicine diagnostics. She also has provided training and clinical support for healthcare providers (in Oncology, OB/GYN, GI, Radiology) through didactic lectures, case reviews and one-on-one consultations regarding risk assessment, genetic testing benefits and limitations, and medical management guidelines.
For the past five years, Dr. White has served as a frequent lecturer as part of Myriad Genetic Laboratories’ Patient Speaker Bureau, educating and motivating people to work with their providers to learn about their personal risk of developing cancer and whether hereditary cancer testing is right for them. In this role, she has also served as an advocate for patients by providing physician office education, resident education and corporate employee training.
Dr. White oversees Lisa Larkin, MD, and Associates’ Cancer Risk Assessment Program, a program designed to help patients understand their personal risk of developing cancer and understand the role of genetic testing, preventative measures and screening in their overall wellness plan.
Dr. White received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Georgia, and she received her PhD in Molecular Genetics from Washington University in St. Louis. She lives in Blue Ash, Ohio.
