Gina Matacia, MD, is a medical oncologist with a special focus on breast cancer care. A native Cincinnatian, she graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 2006. She completed her internal medicine residency in 2009 and subsequently completed her fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology in 2012 from the University Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. Since that time, she has been practicing with TriHealth Cancer Institute, and she helped create the Multidisciplinary Breast Cancer Clinic at Good Samaritan Hospital. More recently, she helped create the high risk genetic clinic at Bethesda North (which she continues to staff,) and she is the medical director of the Ambulatory Treatment Center at Bethesda North.
Dr. Matacia is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology. She specializes in all forms of cancer but has a special interest in breast cancer and palliative care. Dr. Matacia provides care for patients throughout the Cincinnati area with offices in Montgomery and in our offices in Mariemont.
